Why is my destop iMac running so loud?

what's wrong or broken when the iMac Intel 21,5" EMC 2389 produces noise while operating? which component could be the reason for that mulfunction? the hard disk drive fan?

What kind of noise? Have you changed the hard drive?

Have you performed any changes to you hardware? Hard Drive Swap, RAM, added an SSD?

The most probable causes are that a thermal sensor is either reading as "hot", or showing 0 (which means it malfunctioning). If you kept your AHT disc that came with the iMac you can insert it, turn off the iMac, and hold the 'D' key right after the chime. Once in you want to run a basic AHT test and that will tell you if there are any sensors that are having issues.
