Why signal dropped by 2 bars right after I plugged Charger In?

I have The Iphone 5 that after plugging in charge, it dropped by 1-2 bars 3G (from 4 bars) then dropping to EDGE. Then after I disconnect the plug, the signal goes back up. What is going on? And how can I possibly fix this problem? Thank you.

Additional info:

I have Reset my settings, do iphone wipe and still didn't solve my problem. FYI, the problem occurred a long time ago (6 months, I get it second hand, not new) so I presume it is hardware related?

Wondering if the lightning dock needs to be changed out.,

Magically, After I accidentally using up my battery to zero percent several times last weekend till this morning (maybe 6-10 times), my signal got Ok, after I finally charged it this morning. So weird.. Maybe it was really hardware related.

I never used up my phone battery so abusively like last weekend before.. Maybe it accidentally affected electrical charge (ESD) inside phone by forcefully abusing my phone to zero charge several times?

But thank you for the help. Really appreciated all attention brought here :-)

Pretty sure you need to reset your settings

Try network reset and also try a soft rest with the home & power button. And if that doesn't work do a update with iTunes.
