Will turn on and run perfectly and then shuts off.

My phone will power up and run and then randomly shut down. When it is on, it works fine. After it shuts down, it will not recognize the power button. Battery is fine. I have restored and the issue has not been fixed. In order to turn it back on, i have to remove the battery and reinsert it. However, this does not always work.

The video did not fix it but the video that followed the one you linked here did. Basically all I did was tap my phone on the power key side enough to apparently do whatever was wrong with it. It has been on for 15 minutes now. That's the longest its been on for a long time. Thank you...indirectly?! lol

I know the video your talking about and be careful not to tap to hard. Your power button is the issue and jessa is probably your best bet to fix it when it does finally go

It's your power button. It needs to be replaced. Technically it's an easy micro solder job. But, it is micro soldering

Can it be mailed in to be fixed (do you fix this issue) or would it be better to take it to a local phone fix it location?

I don't have a mail in service. But, Jessa Jones at iPad Rehab does

iMedic is correct it's a defective power button that needs to be replaced. It's a very easy job if you know how to micro solder.
