screen shows no activity when plugged in a continuous "bong" sounds

Hi I purchased an iphone from a friend that had a cracked screen worked fine but the screen was cracked was all. Bought a replacement and after installing the Iphone would not turn on. I plugged it into a charger and the phone is making a continuos "bong" noise every 5 sec or so. I removed said screen and it works fine on another 5c I have as well as taking screen from said extra phone on the broken phone same problem. so it is not a problem with the screen. I have inspected the logic board and phone shows no broken or burnt out components. I have no idea how to continue has anyone else had this problem.

Thank you I tried this earlier but your answer made me reexamine the 5c and realize the screen must be firmly in place for the home button to work.

Now im really embarrassed.

Yeah. Those contacts need to be able to talk to each other. It's totally cool sometimes I get frustrated during a project, and forget to do things
