1st power it off
the only real way of knowing its clean is to take it apart and use rubbing alcohol to clean any residue left from the liquid

Whatever gadgets that has been water damaged can be save by doing the first thing which is turn off your gadget, this is to cut off the power before the water get the chance to hit any circuity and lessen the problem your tablet might encounter. Second, disassemble any parts; like remove the battery and the sim card. Then using a dry towel dry each part and the outer part of the tablet, make sure to check each parts like your home button, screen, power button, etc. Next by using a hairdryer blow each side and part of the tablet; make sure it's on a low setting and the tablet is far enough, the hot air produced by the hairdryer will help you to the dry the outer and inner part of your tablet. The last suggestion try to do the traditional way; by placing your tablet in a bowl or container of dry, uncooked rice in an overnight this is very effective since uncooked rice has power to soak up the moisture from the gadget.
