My screen went black and now it will not come back on?

My iphone screen started blinking, now it is black and i am unable to tell if it is working, not working, shutting down, restoring or anything.

sounds like the lcd has died. you can get it replaced if it's still under warranty, or you could try replacing it yourself.

to see if phone is working plug it into itunes... should be recognised.
