How much does it cost to replace the screen altogether?

I have a big crack on the glass of the screen.

Has anyone been able to separate the glass from the screen and just replace the glass?

If not, how much does it cost to repair it at Apple?

Sorry you really can't separate the cover glass from the LCD unit without making a bigger mess. Besides, Apple is the only source and they only sell it as a complete unit as a spare.

Sounds like you are going to be visiting the Apple Store. See what they can do here for you as a new assembly is quite expensive. Did you get AppleCare?
