How do I fix vertical lines on the screen of my iPhone?
I have an old iPhone 5 that I started using as a back-up phone a couple of weeks back. Within a few days, the screen developed a thin black vertical-line on the right side of the screen. More lines showed up around it and the original line became thicker within a week. I'm not sure if these are dead-pixels or something else. Now a similar line has come-up on the left side of the screen as well. I haven't dropped the phone, except once before the line showed up on the left side.
How do I fix this? Will I have to replace the entire screen or is this just a loose digitizer connection at play? I don't have the tools to open it and confirm anything, so whatever you suggest will require me to buy parts online. It's a back-up phone, so I am looking for the cheapest solution possible. I'm also including pictures for your reference.
Thanks!
Is this a good question?
i have the exact same problem now! i at first thought it was water damage but everyone was telling its not so i looked it up and they said its really common with iphones especially with the 5c which is what i have you can easily fix it but you need the tools im just gonna take mine to the shop but you cant go too any phone shop because they replace certain things with fake parts !
