Replacement screen won't come alive

I have a iPhone 5c that spend 2 weeks in a muddy sump. Build a grabber and it come out covered in mud. Put it in rice for a week. Charged the battery, but the screen wouldn't light up. Ordered a new full every thing there screen. While waiting for the screen to come in, I hooked it up the charger and it came alive, but no screen. I got a message on my iPad that Dons-iPhone is using my ID for messaging and FaceTime. Installed new screen and still no access. Just a black screen. I'm an 75 year old, old MIS and radio person. This is a Challenge, any ideas?

Thanks

Just fixed a phone that was sitting in water for over 24 hours. I cleaned the logic board with a q tip and 90 proof isopropyl alcohol. Turns out it, in this instance, needed a new battery. Works just fine now. It's a mixed bag with water damage. Could be lots of things. You'll have to clean it, and find out which parts need to be replaced. It's also possible it'll be something way out of your realm. Like a u2ic chip

Hi there Don, I think its best to move on and get a new phone. After spending 2 weeks in mud I'm surprised it even has life in it at all.
