The Xbox 7MN-0001 Wireless Controller, was manufactured by Microsoft Corporation. It is the first generation Xbox One controller released, but has since been discontinued. This controller has since been superseded by Models 1697/1698 and Model 1708. While this controller is commonly used with the Xbox One, it can also be used for PC gaming.

My main buttons are sticky on my X 1 wireless controller.

So in a mysterious course of events, my X1 wireless controller buttons (X Y A B) stick. they have some movement, but are slow rising up after being pressed. Is there a way for me to remove the face plate so I can take an electronics cleaner to them and remove any residue?

Yes, use a spudger on the panels that cover the controller handles. This shouldnt require to much force and just work your way up to the top. After they pop off, there will be four security T8 screws visible at each corner of the handle. If you are not familiar the screwdriver requried is not a normal T8 it must have the hole in the middle to match the screws. After removing the screws, there is another hidden behind the battery. It is under the sticker which i assume will void the warranty although i am not 100% on that it just seems logical to me. After this screw is removed the back and front should come off
