Fix for proximity sensor disaster

On my 4th iPhone 4 for serious prox sensor issues. REALLY having doubts an iOS update is going to fix this. Any beta testers out there who can confirm/ deny beta3 is going to nail this?

dont know this, but if you take it back to apple, they will swap it for you..

on modmyi, i read very nice articel about new iOS update, (4.1) and how it should really improve proximity issues... also, someone have been stating there, it does helpo, this beta...

I've done that 3 times already. The 4th one I made them give me a new, retail model fresh out of the box. Same problem. On an earlier swap, the "genius" showed mr his co worker's iP4, held a micro flashlight to it and showed how that one had lighter colored glass... the swap model was as dark as previous, so is this. If 4.1 doesn't fix this (which is super doubtful) I'm stuck with it. Apple's got to come clean on this. Freaking amazing that the media has ignored this.

Thanks for the input.

This can be fixed by switching to an android phone. I agree with you, I just don't see how firmware tweaks will get the job done.
