power button kaputt as small board broken

I had an unfortunate drop if my iPad 3G as it hit the sinks corner exactly at the power button.

The aluminium got mended so the button would not move, so no function to turn off anymore.

After teardown matters got worse as I discovered the small double cable was hanging on a very short little piece of motherboard and the rest was still attached, but bent away.

fix seems impossible without new small board piece with the grey button on and so that I could solder the cables onto this on.

thanks for any help

Hello Guys

When my iPad dropped the on/off button got stuck inside the box and in my attempts to release it I just completely destroyed the poor button. Finally managed to release him but he seems very ugly. I was very sad because this happened. I no longer use the button any more. I left programmed to sleep in 2 minutes and when no longer use the IPAD simply leave it alone and and he sleeps alone, poor boy ... I think of going to a store to try to replace the button, but I know that will never be the same ... Thanks for the help guys.
