Hi,

What is the exact model number of your laptop? What OS is installed? If Win10 was it pre-installed or did you upgrade from Win7 or Win8?

I'm wondering if you either have a Video driver problem and/or a power management driver problem.

Hi, my model number is Dell Inspiron 15-5547, it is Win10 and it was pre-installed.

Hi,

As best as I can determine by reading what others on the web have said regarding the same problem there seems to be a compatibility problem between the two video adapter in your laptop. One is an Intel, the other is AMD. They share the video functions in your laptop. It is intermittent therefore it has been hard to track down the cause Some have had success by updating the video drivers for both adapters to the latest version For others this has not worked The info that I have been reading is from earlier this year so it may be out of date The Dell website has the latest video drivers available for your laptop The AMD update was issued Oct 2015 the Intel was issued Sept 2015 so maybe with the updated drivers they may have resolved the problem Here's a link to the driver download page for your laptop, http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/1... Click on find it myself Scroll down to video for the drivers. There are no guarantees that updating will solve the problem

Hi,

Found this info in a link, seems to work for a lot of people : It's the driver for Intel Management Engine, Check in Device Manager to see what version you have installed. If you have V11 download the one from the Dell Support site, driver download Win10 for your laptop model. It is listed under chipset driver "Intel management Engine Interface. It is V9.5. If it doesn't work there are a few more "fixes" on this link https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comme...

Sorry I can't be of more help.

It is exactly the problem of Intel Management Engine driver version 11. Downgrade it to version 9.5 and the problem is solved once and for all. In my case the problem occurred because I had formatted the laptop and then updated it, so the driver went to version 11. I had to manually download and install the version 9.5 from the dell support website.
