upgrading RAM 8gb to 16gb

Hi Friends; could I upgrade my 8gb RAM to 16gb or other?

Sorry, the RAM is soldered to the logic board and not upgradeable after purchase.

I don't like how Apple worded things as it implies there is a possibility which there isn't after you bought it, which ends up confusing people. Only the older non-retina MacBook Pro's had replaceable RAM.

Details: *8 GB of RAM is onboard. It originally could be upgraded at the time of purchase to 16 GB as a US$200 option, but it cannot be upgraded subsequently.
