Water in the Ports

I have parkinsons which causes me to drool. I have drooled into my third computer annd i am getting tried of having to spend to spend so much on repars. All of my electronics live in a wet enviroment. I am told that Apple computers can't be like other computers.

Anyway, i have drooled into the usb ports. I left my computer setting in its box without doing anything abput the drool fotr about a month. Two days agoo i told the computer out of its box, attached the power cord and attempted to power it up... At first nothing happened, but evenualyit appeare to start. The charging light on the cable came on , the charging lights on the computer also cam e omand i could hear and feel the hard drive kick in. And I get the startup tone but that is all that happpens.

Anybody have any ideas how to fix short of throwing it away?

As for repairing this one, you'll need to hook it up to an external monitor to see if it is generating a video signal. Also shine a flashlight at an angle to the screen and see if you can discern the desktop.

You might have better luck with a full size iPad with a protective cover if your coordination will allow it.

On your mac - You might also use an external USB keyboard with a skin and mouse , to avoid proximity to the machine.
