my sister got the macbook in the mail from my other sister from fl had a color line down the middle so i bought a screen on ebay. just shows a white screen now tried the resetting options but dont see it just white screen. it has three screen colors black,gray,blue maybe i mixed them up ? also i seen it says might be hard drive but how if it was working before i tried to change screen please help thank you.

You don't have to completely take it off, just hook up the old display to the logic board. It it comes back on, then you got a standard eBay part that fails to work. It may cost more to go to a reputable seller like iFixit but when you have to keep replacing defective parts from unreliable sellers, you find it' well worth it. Besides iFixit parts carry a lifetime warranty.
