Why won't the display on my early 2011 15" MacBook Pro work?

My LCD (including the new one I just bought from ifixit) lights up, but shows no image. I can turn the brightness up and down on it but no graphics display.

Attaching external display shows the desktop. the first thing I tried was a new LVDS, same results. I installed a new LCD because Apple authorised repairer said with was the display as the graphics card showed no problems (maybe they were lying)

I tried booting with the hard rive/ir cable detached.

Unless the new LVDS was a dud?

Take it to an Apple ~Store or ASP and have them run the diagnostic for a free logic board replacement, ( another class action law suit initiated this): https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro...
