Won't Charge after replacing Dock connector and battery (Water Damaged

I have a perfectly working iphone after I replaced the battery and the dock connector. It appears that it is charging (by the icon in the top right corner) but it doesn't charge. If I unplug it the battery drains and will not recharge. If I leave it plugged in it seems to not drain. Any Help would be much appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

I'm having the same problem. I made sure to wipe all the parts down after reassembly, but it still won't charge.

Any luck?

Skyler Vander Molen, you are looking at some old questions. If you need some help my best advise would be to ask your own question. Click on the link on the right side of this page "Ask a question" and give as much detail as possible. I hope you at least changed the battery in your phone.

I have the same problem, except I have only replaced the battery. Have ordered the dock connector now. Was told by some others to clean the logic board with isopropyl alcohol first, using a soft paintbrush. Will be doing that next, before I change the dock, as they said that the residue can also cause the shorting out, just like water. Make sure you clean under the metal surface also. Did you already try that?
