Have installed a new HD, when I insert the Snow Leopard disc

When the disc snow leopard is in I get a series of three beeps . How do I get it to boot up.

Options

The tree beeps are a RAM error. Try resetting g then RAM, one at a time in each slot to test both the `RAM and the slots. Have you changed it?
