Have you recently upgraded the OS or added new apps?

by

Hy, thanks for the answers, but I think that the answer doesn't lie in a user profile. Because I've already did a clean install of OS, and the problem is still here. I'll try to create another account and i'll let you know what happens. Meanwhile do you have any other suggestions? I've had the last 3 OS now I'm running El Capitan and in all of them the same "SH*T" happens. I have installed only Adobe photoshop, dreamweaver, premiere, illustrator, FileZilla and Office.

Thanks again for the answers.

Yitz, if this has been going on for three systems it's time to first clear your mind of preconceptions. Back up your user data and completely wipe the drive. Reformat it, use the write zeros option. Install a brand new system. Put in a new user. See if the problem persists. if it does, then you have a hardware issue.

Also:

Full Log posts aren't all that informative...and totally LARGE. Keep those out and put them in when needed (and excerpts only please and when asked for parts:) )

First thing to do is see if the crash happens from ANOTHER account/profile. If you don't have another user on the machine, make one and test for a few hours or an interval(s) that usually amounts to a restart/crash/kernel panic.

Decision Tree: If problem goes away, it's part of YOUR profile and that's where to start looking. If the problem DOESN'T go away, it's systematic and that's just as difficult to diagnose.

JimFixer is very right in wanting to know if you made ANY changes to your machine...have you?

What if the problem is in hardware? What can I do?

If it's in hardware:

First thing: depending on the model of Mac, I'd unscrew the back-plate and VACUUM (not compressed air, but VACUUM) the unit. If the fans are full of crud and the ports are dirty, that equals HIGHER temps. The unit can shut down that way. Happens from time-to-time and I've seen it.

After that, go to Apple if it's a current model and still supported; check your MacTracker to make sure. Take it to Apple. If it's under warranty that's a total no brainer (that's a North American slang phrase that means to do it first),

At that point, they will do a hardware diag on the machine under your watchful eye and see what's up while you show them how it happens. This may be the scheme, sometimes not if it's an intermittent that's hard to duplicate (but will show up eventually). In that case, they'll keep the machine for a time and run diagnostic loops on it to see when it'll fail.
