Battery life of one sitting in box on a shelf?
My battery is fine and if I purchase a battery how long will it still be usable if I wait to install it?

It's not good to a Lithium Battery device to let him without using him. This will decrease the life of battery. So, it's better to buy a battery when you'll need it...
