I Just replaced the DC in-board, still not charging?

I ordered the DC inboard part from IFIXIT.com I replaced it with the iFixit instructions. But the computer won't charge, nor will the charging light turn on. Has anyone has this problem? Could the problem by my battery instead? Any Advice?

If your light on the AC adapter was not turning on before you replaced the DC-IN port, the adapter would be the main suspect. Here's a nice replacement. [linked product missing or disabled: IF113-039]

Next I would download and run Coconut battery: http://www.coconut-flavour.com/

Then go here and identify your Book: iBook G4

Look up the Battery transfer board Apple part # 922-6183. It works in all iBook G4's and is only $9.45. [linked product missing or disabled: IF184-001]

Here's how to put it in: iBook G4 14" 933 MHz-1.33 GHz Battery Connector Replacement

Thanks for the advice. However, I tried using a friend's adapter who has the same computer. His adapter, while still working for his, does not charge mine with the new dc-inboard installed. Oddly, his adapter stops charging his computer after it has been plugged into mine. After he disconnects it from the outlet and plugs it back in the charger continues to work on his computer but not mine. Any thoughts?
