Why does my ice maker not "change " to crush
A Fridgidaire w/ Ice dispeser/crusher in door . Panel switch will change, but still only cubes mod . FRS26H5ASB5

The ice bin isn't in the correct position. Take out the ice bin, on the back of freezer you'll notice a square cut out with a bar going across. That is where the metal piece on the back of the ice bin goes. Sometimes you have to pull the bar down then put the ice bin back in place. That bar is actually a lever operated by a solenoid that pulls it up or down depending on what you select.
Try that before you call a technician.

My dispenser maybe. I tried a "quick" few operations and tried to observe, but still no Ice . It looks like it is "in place. With the door open, I held the door Switch so I could see it operate. The bar and metal arm looks right . Just no ice. will think on it ad try another time. Thanks. Have a Merry Christmas .
