What is the purpose of each of the PSU cables.

Hello everyone,

Im looking to do some modifications to my 2009 Mac Pro tower but in order to do so i need to know what all the PSU cables are.

Standard 24-PIN ATX PSU with the cable looks is this.

Description Wire color Pin number

+3.3 volts orange 1

+3.3 volts orange 2

ground black 3

+5 volts red 4

ground black 5

+5 volts red 6

ground black 7

PWR_OK gray 8

VSB +5 volts purple 9

+12 volts yellow 10

+12 volts yellow 11

+3.3 volts orange 12

13 orange +3.3 volts

14 blue -12 volts

15 black ground

16 green PS_ON#

17 black ground

18 black ground

19 black ground

20 white -5 volts (optional)

21 red +5 volts

I need the equivalent for the 4,1 mac pro PSU.

If no one knows is there a way to test myself?
