How to fix extremely cracked screen?

I found my cousin's old Samsung Galaxy 3 tablet with a 7" screen. He's cracked the screen pretty bad and when I tried charging it it doesn't respond. I was hoping I could get it fixed somehow so I could maybe sell it or keep it for myself but I have no clue where to start.
