Not turning on at all

Hi I purchased a leap pad 2 power a good few months ago for my baby who at the time was too small to use and now I thought it's a perfect time for him to play with it but when taking it out of its box and after charging it it does not switch on at all the power button lights up yellow I left it charge for a good few hours the light turned off but still it did respond to the pressing of the power button

I had a similar issue with my youngest son's Leap Pad 2, and after testing the batteries it came with using my voltmeter I found that they were not holding a charge. The easiest solution to try would be purchasing a new set of batteries.
