No matter what,(reset,new screen, camera) No frnt cmra and prox Bad

Total hardware failure?

This is for a very good friend who needs GPS by thanksgiving!

I sold the phone to him, he couldn't use front facing camera (frozen) and GPS proximity stays 30 yards off. This was while using ver 7.1 i think.

So i replaced the screen(he cracked it) with all new camera and digitizer, and updated to newest IOS as of today, and still get frozen front camera,and crappy GPS.

I'm assuming this is now hardware issue.

Please i hope someone has an answer. I have extra parts for same Iphone 5 plus a brand new 5c that has locked icloud i can maybe use for parts..

What can i do to fix proximity and front facing (face-time) camera? is this completely broken?

Options

The prox sensor and facetime camera connect via the same cable. Chances are that during the screen repair or at some other point, the cable got torn. Flex cables are not very forgiving with tears and even a very tiny one can make them worthless. The good news is that is a cheap and easy fix.

For the GPS issue, I really don't know. As far as I know the GPS is a chip on the mainboard. I supposed its possible that that got hurt while doing the screen repair. But that would mean you used metal tools on the mainboard and I know you wouldn't do that. Without having the phone in hand, I can't help much on the GPS issue.
