How to keep iPod from powering down

Just installed a new battery in my 5th gen. iPod video. New battery is working properly after a charge, however, each time I try to put the case halves back together it will power down and not turn on again. Any ideas as to how I can fix this?

  • Check the battery connector and flex cable damaged
  • inpact any component missing arround battery connector
