Best method to pull out stripped screws from the bottom?

Hello!

So I'm trying to get some stripped screws out of the bottom of an iPhone 6. And they are insanely stripped ... Is there a best method for getting them out? Drill? Dremmel?

If you have a dremel tool with a very fine cutting wheel you can make a slot in the head of the screw and take it out with a flat head screwdriver but you will end up marking your case

I like this idea but how do you trap/collect any metal shavings?

The two methods I use are 1) use a rubberband between the screw and the screwdriver or two take an old screwdriver (like the ones you get with screen replacements) and super glue it to the screw, let it dry and then remove the screw. If all else fails, a screw tap will work.

Yeah, what he said. Also you could try different sizes of flat head screwdriver, and see if you can get those screws out of there

You mean the Penelope screws on the bottom, holding the display assembly into the phone?

Yes the pentalobe screws? What luck do I have in cleanly pulling off the screen if one or more of those screws is stripped.

I use the tip of a craft knife. Works for me every time.
