How do I connect my device to the speaker?

I'm having problems connecting my phone to the speaker. I have Bluetooth enabled on my phone but don't see the name of the speaker on my phone. Any help is appreciated.

Is the speaker in discovery mode?

Yep. The light on the Bluetooth button on the speaker was blinking.
