iPhone 5 keeps shutting down all the time

My iPhone 5 keeps shutting down all the time even with full battery life. When I open it again, it usually takes long time to get the time and date right and look for the teleoperator. Also all the programs are still on that i left open before the shutdown.

Then I've been getting this weird flickering around the corners of the screen. And then my iCloud wont let me login and will tell error about it all the time.

The phone won't shut down if its pluged to the charger, But right when the battery is full and I take it off the charger, it starts shutting down by itself everytime i put the phone away.

All these problems started few days ago.

Should I go get my battery replaced? (I replaced it 4 months ago) or should I just buy new phone?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

And yes, I have tried the hard reset and deleting all the data and recovering from the backup. Still not working.

I can't offer a solution, but I agree with what you are thinking. In your shoes, I would replace the battery.

Its an iphone 5 does the on/off button still works normally?

The problem you describe looks like a bad battery.

Change the battery with a new one if the problem still exist its not the battery.

Than i would look at the on/off button.
