I ordered a battery for my laptop and I think they sent me the wrong battery. They sent me the A1406 battery model which I believe is for a Macbook Air, but I ordered a battery for the Macbook Pro 15" model A1268, the battery model I should' received is the A1321. They're trying to tell me that the battery the sent me is compatible, but I'm not sure if I should trust them. Is it compatible?

Who was your supplier? They are full of sh*t. A battery for an 11' MacBook Air will not work in your 15" MBP.

Yea that's what I thought, just wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy. I ordered it through Newegg but they had to transfer the order to Jacks Marketplace. Their customer service doesn't seem very knowledgable.
I've had several problems with ordering from NewEgg and them outsourcing it. There's a reason their prices are so cheap. I do not work for iFixit and have no other affiliation with them but as just a volunteer answering questions, but I have been ordering more parts from them lately (at slightly higher prices ;-) but the lifetime warranty and superb customer service eliminate so much lost time and headaches it's well worth it to me and my reputation with my customers. You get what you pay for.
