Need help with switching carriers and activation!

I just bought this iPhone 6 Plus sprint from someone and I want to put it on family mobile which is a branch of t-mobile. I looked it up and found out that the phone can be switched to a GSM network. I just don't understand why when I put the SIM card in, the phone say invalid sim. I had sprint unlock the phone but it still saying the same message. I don't know what to do, I'm currently without a phone because of this!

Hmm. Wondering if it's esn locked...

You can try blowfishunlocks.com. But it won't do you much good, if the previous owner was delinquent on their bill..
