Why is my laptops fan so loud?

My laptop fan is really loud even when I restart the computer. After a couple minutes of it being on it's already really hot and makes a loud noise. It sounds like it's going to explode.

The problem might be that your laptop is overheating because you have too much data. You will just need to go through and clean out your computer of all the old files and apps that you do not use or need anymore.

Too much data is likely not the problem at all. I have this laptop and it seems to be the CPU or GPU fan going bad.
