Error message "System error (Focus)"

Panasonic Camera TZ20

When I start my camera the lens extract to a maximum, tries to focus, then the lens closes and an error message appears on the screen "System Error (Focus)".

After hours of searching the internet and trying different solutions, i have still the same problem. I even bought a new lens for my TZ20 and have still the same error message.

Can anybody help me on that issue?

Thanks a lot...

Chosen Solution

Bonjour,

Hello

I had the same problem with a TZ80, and I found the answer here:

++https://www.commentcamarche.net/forum/af...

The solution is unbelievable, but incredibly effective. I was struggling to believe it, but it was trying it out or sending my camera in for repair. Just drop the CAMERA from some centimeters, and the shock settles the problem. In this case, I dropped it from 5-10 cm high on a table with a little paper underneath to cushion the contact, in the right position, as if to take a picture.

Good luck! And that for once Anglophones learn French, it is worthwhile!!!!

:)

I’m afraid to do this with my LX100 though.
