How can I repair the left hinge?

The left hinge assembly on my SO's laptop is completely stripped. The top portion is still fine and attached to the display assembly but the anchor points in the base of the laptop are completely messed up. It looks like the screws pulled the threading out of the holes they're meant to go in. On the left screw hole, the hole the threading is supposed to go in is missing a chip.

This laptop is her livelihood and we can't really afford a new one. I need to be able to fix this for the long term, however that needs to be. It can't impair function of the laptop but it needs to be sturdy to hold up to everyday use.
