Why do I have a black screen after screen replacement?

I changed my screen and now everything is working except my screen. I hear the phone ring and I have answered it so I know the touch screen is working and I'm receiving all of my notifications and the phone charges correctly but I can't see anything. When I power down to reset I don't even see the apple icon. What do I need to do to get my screen to work?

Yeah, try the forced reset, if that doesn't work try the old screen to see if the old screen will display images, if the old screen works you may have defective screen. If the old screen doesn't work check the connector pins to make sure you didn't cause any damage to motherboard when taking off or putting on.

I did the reset and although I heard it vibrate when it came back up, I still have nothing but blackness. I'll check the connector pins next.
