Why my ps2 is again and again shuts down?

Whenever i start my ps2 it works normaly but just after 5 mins of playing it shuts down and where yellow is there it changes into red light. The red light blinks for 1.5 mins and continus to remain in red light untill I press the reset/on button ,my ps2 starts and repeats the procedure again which I have explained you in above this. Please tell what is the problem with my ps2

Hi,

Your PS2 may be overheating. Check that the fan is running and that the vents are clean and not obstructed. If it is a faulty fan here is a link which shows you how to replace it PlayStation 2 Fan Replacement
