Why is my computer not booting up at all?

Hi, I was about to sell my recently upgraded MacBook Pro (128gb ssd, 8gb ram) on craigslist.

About a month ago, I took the cd drive out because I thought it would save some weight. Yes I know it was super stupid to do that.

Anyways, today, after I put the cd drive back in and closed it back up. The computer wouldn't boot. I had a heart attack.

I opened it back up and checked every single cable and screw in the computer and it will for some reason not boot up at all. Any suggestions?

I'm just really concerned because I spend $1400 on this computer with upgrades and I use it as my main work machine, I can't afford to get another one.

P.S. The battery indicator works, no other signs of life.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try disconnecting the cd drive cable and see if you can boot it up.

Hold down the power for 30 seconds and connect your magsafe charger to your macbook and tell me what color is the light on your magsafe charger green or orange?

Did you try disconnecting the cd drive cable and see if you can boot it up? Also disconnect the battery and plug in your magsafe and press the power button and see if it turns on.
