So I changed screen for a friend of mine the other day, and this was the simplest repair ever. But now the touch id don't work, I had no problem connecting or removing the cable, there was no damage what so ever. What could it be? Do we need to restore it as new?

If you attempt to restore it, the Touch iD fault might cause the phone to brick and bring up the Touch iD Failure error. My advise, open the phone again, make sure the connection for the Home Button is connected correctly, also check carefully that all the pins are somewhat straight and not bent. Next is to check the flex cable that connects the Home Button to the main board, make sure this is not damaged in any area (not ripped or torn). Did you replace the Touch iD / Home Button while replacing the screen?

No I used the old one. And it's not torn or ripped in anyway totally perfect. They are not bent or noting, not my first time. Didn't have any problems the other times.

This happens when you touch the id when it boot it up or press the home button all you need to do is tell your friend to turn it off and back on and let your friend keep there finger on the touch id when they see the apple logo. Once thats done have them unlock the phone with their password and tell them to press the power off and on and have them see if the finger print works now.
Have your friend do the work don't even touch the phone.

I did a screen replacement on iPhone 6, and days later customer called to say the scanner was not working on the phone. I checked the phone over, making sure all connections were all connected, I replaced the flex cable incase it was damaged but the scanner wouldn't work. Did some checking online about being software related, and during the next IOS upgrade it will start working. Days later the new IOS 9 came out, after the upgrade to the new IOS 9 the scanner started working again???
