Washer will not advance to drain or spin cycle on it's own

My Kenmore 70 series topload washer's timer will not advance beyond the rise mode to drain and spin. It will drain and spin if I move it automatically. I tested the lid switch and it works well and was replaced recently anyway. I looked into changing the timer but they cost $100 each and I didn't want to replace the entire timer if it's just one component of the timer such as the connection to that function. The timer seems to rotate since it does advance up to the rinse cycle.

I appreciate any advice since my searches don't seem to quite match this particular situation. Most point to the lid switch or the coupler and I have ruled out those issues.

What is the exact model number of your washer?

Model number is 11022722100. I'm thinking it's the timer or the wig wag solenoid based on what I have read so far.

If you don't want to replace parts, try repairing them. I'd opt for cold solder joints. Go over them and resolver all the ones you can get to. Here's how: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dG0fwE7...
