you'll need to follow the guide to disassemble your phone to get the motherboard out. then carefully (very carefully!) take the silver metal cover off the motherboard-(I've used a small flat head screwdriver but others may have better ideas, to lift each little metal tab up on the metal cover so it lifts...there's lots) then use a soft brush and isopropyl alcohol to clean all the white and green residue from all the parts and connectors. clean all the other parts as best you can. leave it to dry then reconnect to usb.

see what happens, either it's good to go or a part has shorted out with the water and you'll need to solve that problem....

you could also just try a restore if the phone is recognised in itunes?
