need the illustrated diagram of menu function

Cracked the dis[play on my 1st or 2nd gen nano-but it still works- need to know (by way of sound) what each click from the "home page" means- playlist, artist, song, etc....in what order?

If that's not the same model you have, just search google images for ipod nano menu or something similar.

If that doesn't match up exactly then it probably means that you have changed the items on this menu to be different than the original factory settings. You can use iTunes to restore it to the original firmware to reset it.

For a second gen nano, the default main menu is this:

  • Music
  • Photos
  • Extras
  • Settings
  • Shuffle Songs

And of course, when you are playing something, "Now Playing" is tacked on at the bottom.

Clicking Music will bring you to:

  • Playlists
  • Artists
  • Albums
  • Songs
  • Genres
  • Composers
  • Audiobooks (if you have any)

Compilations may also show up if you have that enabled in settings. I think the default is off. Search is present at the very bottom on second gen but not first gen models.

If you have a first gen nano, the above listing should be the same.
