SSDH upgrade cause loud fans. How do I utilize Seagate thermal sensor?

Hi, I installed the 2TB Seagate SSDH ST2000DX001 knowing it has a compatible thermal sensor. But my fans are blowing full speed. I can't find any information on how to actually utilize the sensor. During the install, I plugged in the existing SATA and power cables, but nothing else. Did I miss something? Thanks for any help!

I actually have an SSDH not an SSD. SSD definitely require an external temp sensor. I was hoping to avoid buying this new cable since I've heard the SSHD has a sensor built-in. But I may have to bite the bullet and buy the cable and open up my iMac yet again.
