Hi,
Have you checked that the charger is connected to a working outlet?
Can you try the adapter from the nursery unit (I think that it should be the same as the one for the parent unit- please check before you try) and see if it works in the parent unit.
If it does the 1st charger is faulty and the battery should hopefully now charge. If the unit works with the AC adapter connected but fails to work (after a suitable charging time) when the AC adapter is disconnected it is possibly a failed rechargeable battery which should be replaced.
If it doesn't work the problem is a faulty parent unit.
