water damage power IC check -- help needed

Hi,

I have a Galaxy Note 2 T889 with water damage on the motherboard which doesn't power on. However, when I insert the charger, the battery symbol shows up on the screen. How can I check if power IC is shot or not?

Options

Try a new battery. If the phone turns on flawlessly then it is your power ic component.

Or it could be a shortage since your phone got water damaged, i suggest you do a water damage treatment to it and then try it again.
