Ty, you are really not giving us much to go by. I would start with a new battery. Remember that you need firewire to restore. Once you have it restored, it will require a firewall connection to finalize the process. All you have left to do is to connect it to firewire. Once fully restored it should connect to iTunes via USB. Just remember that this model is a FireWire device and USB is for data transfer only — not charging.

I wish I had a better description. It has been dead for over a year. I get no icons, totally blank. Can not power up even if connected to a power supply.
Are you using a Firewire charger?
