How to turn on Mac without keyboard

The was water damage to my laptop and the charger would turn red when plugged in so I took everything it and cleaned it and now it stays green..... I'm assuming the next thing to check is the keyboard, and that may be why it won't turn on. How would I start it without the keyboard. Thanks

Unplug the battery and mag-safe. Press and hold the power on button for 10 seconds. Reconnect the battery and mag-safe and you should get a spontaneous reboot.

Use tweezers to short pin 5 to pin 29 on the keyboard ribbon connector.
