Will not take a charge

Hello,

I have a Macbook Air that is not charging.

When you connect a power cord, The computer lights ups and shows that it is connected to power on the battery indicator. Also the light on the magsafe connector is always green.

I have tried the following:

Replaced power cord

Replaced battery

Reset SMC a number of times

Replace the I/O board

Heating the brick up with a hair dryer

Sitting on the brick to heat it up (hate to admit it!)

The behavior has not changed. See my Coconutbattery screenshot .. one with cable connected and one not connected.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

John

Hi John

I presume you checked all of this points: http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/fix...

And with all the repairs you already tried, last thing coming to my mind is the magSafe itself. Check not only for debris, but also check if the contact pins are clean on both the mac and the charger.

Good Luck
