1 Why won't the lens on my Nikon Coolpix S5200 open?
The lens on my camera seem to be stuck closed. I'm nervous if I try to pry them open, I'll break the camera. What should I do?

If the lens on your Nikon Coolpix S5200 will not open, try the following:
1) Remove the batteries, clean the battery port and replace the old batteries with fresh batteries
2) Identify the possibility of dust or sand particles being lodged within the lens mechanism
